Free Applesauce, Help For Texas And Florida At The Village Watch Center In Brookline
BROOKLINE, MA — As folks around town, from the firefighters to children selling lemonade to raise funds for those affected by the recent hurricanes in Texas and now Florida, one store is planning to donate portion percent of all proceeds to local schools in Houston and Florida.
"No amount is too small," wrote owners Liana and Avi Rubinov, whose father had been in the watch repair business before him for 40 years.
"We will also donate to an animal shelter in Houston that is reuniting owners with their pets," said the folks at the Village Watch Center, which repairs jewelry and watches.
For anyone who shows up to whether to have something repaired or just to say hi, they're giving away jars of kosher homemade applesauce today until 7 p.m.
